Lesley Joseph
Lesley Joseph is an environmental justice scholar, educator and public commentator whose work focuses on environmental racism and justice, including infrastructure inequality, and the environmental impacts of war and occupation. He is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he teaches and conducts research related to environmental engineering, sustainability and environmental justice. He has published several articles on various environmental justice issues, including food apartheid, disproportionate impacts of waste management, and environmental injustice during wartime. He is also the author of the forthcoming book “War Crimes Against the Earth” (Reaktion Books, 2027) and the host of the Environmental Justice Lab, a podcast that discusses local and global environmental justice issues.
