Hussain Jummo is a Syrian Kurdish writer and the deputy head of the foreign desk at Al Bayan newspaper in the United Arab Emirates. He is the author of two books, “The Armed Takaya: The Political History of the Kurdish Naqashbandi Order,” and “Anbar: From the Pasture Wars to the Silk Road,” and numerous studies about Kurdish, Turkish, and Iraqi affairs.
