Barbara Matejčić
Barbara Matejčić is an award-winning freelance journalist, nonfiction writer and audio producer focused on social affairs and human rights in the Balkan region. Barbara collaborates with activists, artists and scholars, as well as with international and Balkan media, and produces multimedia projects. She lectures in journalism studies in Zagreb. She has won numerous awards, including the European Press Prize (2024), the Investigative Journalism for Europe Impact Award (IJ4EU, 2024), and the Croatian Journalists’ Association awards for the best written journalism (2014) and the best radio documentary (2025).
