Sama’a Al-Hamdani

Sama’a Al-Hamdani is a political analyst focusing on Yemen, Oman and Gulf Cooperation Council security. She has been a nonresident fellow at the Middle East Institute and Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies, and a fellow at the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies. She spent five years leading a program that used artificial intelligence and data analytics in crisis response, and has spoken on mediation technology at Web Summit. Her work has appeared in Lawfare, Brookings and The National. She divides her time between Lisbon and Washington, D.C.
