Dr. Kaveh Abbasian is a researcher, lecturer, and a documentary filmmaker. He is Lecturer in Film and Media Practice at the University of Kent. His latest feature-length documentary “Triumph” (2021) is an essay film on the audiovisual representation of the Iran-Iraq War on Iranian state media. Kaveh is a former fellow of the John W. Kluge Center of the Library of Congress and the former director of programming for the London Kurdish Film Festival. He is the 2021 jury president for the Global Kurdish Film Festival.
