Elia Ayoub
Elia Ayoub is a Geneva-based writer, researcher, activist currently finishing a PhD on temporality and hauntings in postwar Lebanese cinema at the University of Zurich. His academic background is in Environmental Health, Cultural Studies and Political Science. He has written on the Levant countries (Lebanon, Syria and Israel-Palestine) and previously worked as a MENA editor at Global Voices Online and IFEX. His current work is usually climate-related (communications, justice, transition, degrowth and solarpunk) but he also works more broadly on memory, gender, transportation, new media, rewilding and various futurisms.
