Samer Badawi is an associate editor at New Lines. Prior to joining the editorial team, he wrote about the 2024 elections in the United States for the magazine. He has also been a regular contributor to The Progressive and +972 Magazine, covering Israel’s “Operation Protective Edge” from Gaza for the latter in the summer of 2014. His reporting and analysis have been cited by The Washington Post and featured on Al Jazeera, the BBC, NPR and Pacifica Radio. A former Washington, D.C., correspondent for Middle East International, he also served as executive director of United Palestinian Appeal and as an editor with the Center for Policy Analysis on Palestine (now Palestine Center).
