Nidal Betare is a Syrian-Palestinian writer. He holds a master’s in political sociology and is Managing Director for People Demand Change (PDC). He previously worked for the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and the Danish Red Cross (DRC). He previously worked as a freelance researcher with NPR and McClatchy in Syria and Lebanon.
