Mohamed Shafeeq Karinkurayil teaches at the Manipal Centre for Humanities in Manipal, India. He works on the cultural expressions of half a century of Gulf migration in the southern Indian state of Kerala, and is the author of “The Gulf Migrant Archives in Kerala: Reading Borders and Belonging” (Oxford University Press, 2024).
