Emadeddin Badi is a consultant and senior fellow with the Atlantic Council and the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. His research focuses on conflict dynamics, fragility, resilience and hybrid security structures in Libya and the broader Sahel and MENA regions. His work has appeared in Middle East Law and Governance, Mediterranean Politics, Herodote, Foreign Policy and The Washington Post. He is the author of “Exploring Armed Groups in Libya” (2020) and a contributing author to “Violence and Social Transformation in Libya” (2023).
