Tariq Kenney-Shawa is currently pursuing his Masters in International Affairs at Columbia University, while also doing part time research and consulting for The New York Times. Before that, he worked at a security consulting firm based in New York City, where he covered conflict developments across the Middle East and North Africa. Kenney-Shawa’s academic and policy focuses are human rights and conflict resolution in the Middle East and the future of the Palestinian struggle for self-determination and equal rights.
