Leila Barghouty

Leila Barghouty is an award-winning investigative journalist and filmmaker based in New York. Her work focuses on investigations into law enforcement, military, detention, and the long-term effects of armed conflict around the world. She regularly reports from the detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and across the Middle East. Her investigations with Stanford University’s Open Policing Project have led to procedural change in police departments and jails across the United States.
