Ibrahim Elhoudaiby
Ibrahim Elhoudaiby is a historian of the modern Middle East. His research focuses on the economic and legal histories of 19th- and 20th-century Egypt within its regional context. He holds a doctorate in Middle Eastern Studies from Columbia University, a master’s in political science and development from the American University in Cairo, a diploma in Islamic studies from the High Institute of Islamic Studies in Cairo and a bachelor’s from the American University in Cairo. He is currently a visiting assistant professor of Middle Eastern and Historical Studies at Bard College.
